Birding, Events

Is that a Wood Thrush? Or a Yellow Warbler? Or a Veery? Come and see.
The Every-Saturday-in-May Bird Walks on the Hardwick Trails begin May 3. This tradition of
enjoying the spring bird migration in our local woodlands is for seasoned birders and birder
wannabes of all ages. This year, leaders include Dave Brown, Eleanor Hammond, Scarlett
Podolin, Lucian Avery and Marie LaPre Grabon. Their enthusiasm is catching; the bird song,
heavenly; the birds, every color. Maybe we’ll find a new bird to add to our list of 88 species!
Come join a walk each Saturday at 7:00 AM at the Hardwick Trails kiosk, located behind Hazen
Union parking lot. These free events are sponsored by the Hardwick Trails Committee. Please
call Norma Wiesen if you have questions: 802-472-6517.
