SATURDAY, NOV. 2 AT 9:00 AT THE HARDWICK TRAILS KIOSK
Did you know that Hardwick used to be the bottom of a glacial lake or that the bedrock of the Hardwick area was formed in a shallow, warm sea? The ice sheet that once covered all New England may have melted away thousands of years ago, but there are still plenty of features and many clues that reveal the subsurface and glacial history of Hardwick. Come join Dave Mitchell, retired science teacher and amateur geologist, while we explore Hardwick Trails.
Everyone is welcome at this free event sponsored by the Hardwick Trails Committee. The Hardwick Trails Kiosk is located behind the parking lot of Hazen Union School.
Participants should be prepared for a two mile walk. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring your walking stick/poles too. In case of rain, the event will occur Sunday, Nov. 3. Questions? Email [email protected]
20TH ANNUAL PUMPKIN WALK on the HARDWICK TRAILS!
SUNDAY, OCT. 6 @ 6:00PM
Come see the magic happen in the Hardwick Trails woodlands when hundreds of pumpkin faces light the path.
Every student at Hardwick Elementary School carves a unique addition to the collection with the tireless help of Art Teacher Beth LeCours and volunteers.
The entire community is invited: the littlest ones, the grandparents, families, friends and all in between.
The lighted path leads to the Big-Bonfire-in-the-Woods where more magic awaits: The Friendly Witch tells not-scary stories in her wonderful cackly voice and there are cider and donuts for all.
The Hardwick Trails Committee proudly sponsors this free event for the 20th year!
Come enjoy this Hardwick tradition. Park in the Hazen Union School parking lot and follow the pumpkin signs to the trail.
