Joe says: “Come have some fun with fungi!! This year’s mushroom walk has a little twist: bingo cards to help us learn the basics of mushroom identification and ecology. We’ll walk on the Trails for about an hour, see what mushrooms are popping up this summer, and have some fun trying to identify them. “

ALL ARE WELCOME! We meet at the Trails Kiosk behind the Hazen Union School parking lot. The Hardwick Trails Committee sponsors this free event.

Ever wonder about the medicinal properties of plants growing right along your favorite walking trails? Join clinical herbalist Caty Crabb, who brings 20 years of clinical practice and 30+ years of medicine-making experience, for an educational walk on the Hardwick Trails. Learn to identify wild species in their native habitat and explore how each plant works in the body. Caty will discuss simple symptom relief and talk about ecological stewardship of these plants.

Are you interested in learning about the abundant medicinal herbs that grow in our neighborhood?  Join community herbalist and herb grower, Erin Rosenthal of Goldenrose Gardens, for a medicinal plant walk on the Hardwick Trails Saturday, July 26 from 1:30-3.  We’ll meet a variety of
native and naturalized plant allies, discuss their preparation and use as medicines, ecological & safety concerns. The Hardwick Trails Committee sponsors this free event and welcomes everyone.
